A Practical Walk

My Bible

I’m thankful for my Bible, one of my most treasured and meaningful possesions. I’m thankful both for this very specific one I own, and for God’s Word in general.

Some specifics I’m especially thankful for:

• This particular Bible was gifted to me by my husband, so that makes it special. And then later he gifted me with a purple leather Bible cover he purchased off etsy. The cover fits it perfctly and even though my Bible is falling apart it’s still very useable because of the cover. I love how I can zip it up and put it in my purse or a bag and not worry about it damaging the book itself.
• The more years I spend reading the Bible, the more I learn from it. The more it means to me. The more I feel like I can’t make decisions without it. Many other things in my life have faded and become less important to me over the years, but not this. The historical stories of God’s faithfulness serve as proof to me, the encouraging words serve as anchors of encouragment during stormy seasons, and the truths taught challenge me to turn from sins.
