I believe every book we as believers read, must be compared to the truths of Scripture. Any book I recommend does not necessarily mean I agree with 100% of it. All reading we do, should be done with the Bible truths in the forefront of our minds.
Wholehearted Wisdom – A Curated Collection for Adoptive & Foster Families
This was a collection of some of Lisa Quall’s blog posts, making it a quick read, but still full of advice. While the advice is meant for adoptive parents, I think it can be practical for any parent.
Unoffendable – How Just One Change Can Make All of Life Better
by Brant Hansen
I got this book for a Bible study. Unfortunately I only made it to a couple of the meetings, but still finished reading the book (technically I finished it in March, but I’m putting it in my February book stack). There were parts I liked in it, but I’m also not sure I agree with everything in it.
Skin Rules – Trade Secrets from a Top New York Dermatologist
by Debra Jaliman, M.D.
I’ve been struggling with some skin issues, so when I spotted this on the library book shelf I grabbed it. It was a quick read with 77 rules for your skin. Some were ones I already knew, some were ones that didn’t interest me (like Botox), but there were very applicable ones too. And for the library price of free, I’m very glad I borrowed it!

Here’s a link to last month’s book stack.
