I was on a trip this week, so I’m just gonna jump on for a quick frugal five (I mean four, that’s all I got right now) post.
During the trip, my husband and I stopped at 2 Restores (sometimes he can source really good materials and tools for his handyman job at these) and a bin-style Goodwill. These types of Goodwills sell by pound rather than by item. We got multiple items, but my favorite was a pair of khaki pants I thought might fit my long and lean son. He recently out grew a pair. Sure enough when I brought them home and he tried them on and they fit!

I sold an endtable. My son got a new shelf for his bedroom. He was going to purchase it from a garage sale, but they gave it to him free. He had been using a mid-century modern side table in there, but this shelf fits his needs much better. So I listed the side table on facebook and it sold for $30.

Our whole family did a bunch of yard work this weekend. And that included getting some trellises up and putting another garden spot in.
The bamboo-looking things, are from an old broken bed frame. I tied string between them for the zucchini squash and cucumbers to climb on.
The logs around the new garden bed are from a house my husband helped to fix-up. They needed the logs hauled off, so he hauled them off here and put them to use!

I’ve been enjoying some free decorating, in the form of picking wild flowers and putting them in a vase. One of my very favorites are blooming right now, blanket flowers.

What money-saving jobs have you been up to lately?
What’s your favorite wild flower?
