May Book Stack

I believe every book we as believers read, must be compared to the truths of Scripture. Any book I recommend does not necessarily mean I agree with 100% of itAll reading we do, should be done with the Bible truths in the forefront of our minds.

My book stack this month isn’t really a true “stack”, as I only finished one book. But I’ve been reading a couple others that I can’t wait to tell you about, hopefully I’ll be done with them by the end of this month.

Love Centered Parenting: The No-Fail Guide to Launching Your Kids

By Crystal Paine

This was a re-read, and I’m so glad I re-read it. What I love about this book, is instead of focusing on the child, and their actions, it focuses on what we as parents can do. So many good thoughts, I appreciate the stories she shares from her own family, even if they’re not always easy ones to share.

While I agree with almost everything in the book, one statement I’ve had to really think about: “I’m believing the truth that I am uniquely equipped and chosen by God to be my kids’ mom and Jesse’s wife. That there is no one on the planet better suited for the task. My shortcomings and struggles will not ruin my kids or my husband. And I can trust God to fill in the gaps I leave.” pg. 15

As I’ve thought over this idea, I haven’t thought of any Scripture that I think backs up this idea. But other than that, I highly recommend this book to parents!

What have you read lately? What did/didn’t you like about it?
