A Practical Walk

I probably will sound like I’m promoting myself, because I’m a seller on ebay. And…well…maybe I am. But I also like purchasing on the site and here’s a perfect example of why!

A while back I wanted a nice pair of running shoes. I wanted them good quailty, light weight, and cheap. So we headed off to a sports store and I tried some on. When I found a pair I liked, I took note of the brand, style and size. Then I looked them up on ebay and found a pair to order.

That’s the pair you see on the left. I loved them! I wore them until the soles started loosing tread and holes started popping up on the side. What to do? I went right back to ebay with the shoe information and found the EXACT same pair, same size and everything! I can’t remember now what I paid for the original pair, but the ones I just purchased were $40.37 total, including shipping. They were barely worn at all! And it’s a great time saver, I didn’t have to go to a store and try a bunch on, I already knew what I wanted and knew I’d be happy with them.

While I’m a big fan of thrift stores, some items are tricker to find there. It might be hit and miss. That’s where places like ebay (or other second-hand sites) come in really handy. I like to use ebay if I’m looking for something more particular, like my orange shoes.

I spend less time.

An ebay seller gets a sale.

It’s a win-win-win.

PS: I plan to keep the old pair for work shoes when doing jobs that might be dirty, and the new pair will become my walking shoes.
