A Practical Walk

I’m one of millions of ebay sellers.

I’m one of thousands of residents in our town.

I’m one of hundreds of church attenders in our town.

I’m one of I have no idea how many bloggers.

I was one of thousands of workers in the organization we worked with.

But I’m the only mom of my children.

This simple truth has really shaped a lot of my decisions the last few years and I keep coming back to it when I am trying to make decisions. The thing is, this wouldn’t be a big deal if being a mom wasn’t an important job, but parenting a person is one of the biggest jobs! It’s like getting to do life-on-life discipleship for years. Parents are one of the people that affect us the most (good or bad).

If I’m the only mom they got, I’d better try to do it well.
