A Practical Walk

Today I’m thankful for:

Saftey when a tree limb fell. The other day I heard a noise outside the kitchen window. I looked out and a tree limb had fallen and was hanging on our internet wire outside. It could’ve been so much worse. The cord could’ve snaped. A car, animal or person could’ve been under the branch. It could’ve happened when we were gone, or without us knowing and sat dangling there for hours, but I heard it as soon as it happened.

My daughter won a prize for our library’s summer reading program! She got a brand new kindle among other things in her prize bag! It’s good timing too, as her current e-reader has been giving her trouble.

I’m also thankful that my daughter was accepted at a local college to earn dual credits! I was sweating it as the deadline approached! We got her official transcript from NARHS and a certain vaccine she needed just in time. I should add, that it wasn’t NARHS’s fault that the transcript barely made it in time, it was because I hadn’t turned in the year end portfolio earlier.

I’m thankful for jobs picking up for my husband.

I’m thankful for friends for my kids. Every time we move this is one of my prayers. Yesterday we went and watched a $2 movie. Our son texted one of their friends to see if he wanted to come too, and he did. I’m just so glad they have other teens they like being with!

There’s so much more I could say, but it’s getting late.
