I believe every book we as believers read, must be compared to the truths of Scripture. Any book I recommend does not necessarily mean I agree with 100% of it. All reading we do, should be done with the Bible truths in the forefront of our minds.
I didn’t have a July book stack, because I didn’t finish any books. Both June and May, I only completed one book each. So this month getting to show you two books seems like quite the accomplishment! Honestly, trying to have a book stack post at the end of the month motivates me to read more.
Strength in the Struggle: A Bible Study Workbook for Women on Letting Go of Fear and Anxiety
By: Lauren Ibach
This was the book we went through over the summer with the ladies’ Bible study I’m a part of. My favorite aspects of the study were the emphasis on Bible memory and the emphasis on the background and context of the memory verses. Back in Bible school we had a teacher who made us chant, “Context is king!!” I guess his plan worked, because I still remember it!
Habits of the Household: Practicing the Story of God in Everyday Family Rhythms
By Justin Whitmel Early
Crystal Paine spoke highly of this book, so I ordered it. It had lots of practical ideas. There was a touching story towards the end with him and his dad that I loved. I really like hearing people’s personal stories.

What have you read lately? Did you love it, hate it, somewhere in between? Bonus question: What’s your favorite genre?
