A Practical Walk

I made some oat milk using Love and Lemons recipe, but I used honey instead of syrup.

After making the milk, I set the glass blender in the sink a little too hard and it broke. This is a vintage blender. I looked on ebay and in no time found the same blender. The seller was asking $39, I made an offer for $30, and they accepted! So for $32.48 (shipping and tax included), I’m getting another vintage blender sent to me!

I’ve had a little more time on my hands lately, so I’ve been trying to get back to making things from scratch, like yogurt and bread. Because as I’ve mentioned before, cooking gets less from scratch when I’m busy.

I ordered a Shutterfly book on sale, then the shipping ($8.99) was free with a promo code. I paid $25.70 total. I do a photobook for each year. This was 2023…Imma lil behind.

Soon we’ll have another book to add to the stack!

My mother-in-law didn’t want this sun (it came with the house), so I gladly took it off her hands. And now it’s adding bright happiness to our new fence! Yay for a free decoration!

One of these day I need to do a post on how we cut costs upgrading our backyard.
