As I already mentioned, we’ve been back in the US for a year now. When we got back I started putting coins I found in a jar. It’s amazing to me how many coins I come across, especially on my walks.

Now that it’s been a year I decided to cash them in and start over again!
So I took them to a Coinstar machine. I know that it’d be cheaper to just use the money, rather than have Coinstar turn them into bills, and if we were starving to death, I’d do that, but for now, I enjoy the luxury of not having to deal with little coins when paying for things.
I had a total of $9.87! Plus 4 pennies the machine rejected and a Chuckie-Cheese Token.

So after Coinstar took $1.78 for processing fees, I received $8.09. Not bad for money I just found laying around!
This summer while family was visiting Texas, I went on a walk with my nephews. One of them asked me, “Aunt Katy, How do you find coins?” He then put his hands behind his back and bent forward looking at the ground, “Do you do it like this?” He asked. Haha, love those kids!
