Frugal Five

Our neighbors brought us a big ol’ bag of taters, carrots, and apples yesterday. Their sister had more than she needed, so they gave some to us! We gladly accepted!

We had a really fun, but cheap family outing. We drove to a State Park and went on a little walk while the sun was setting. Afterwards we grabbed supper, read on to hear about that…

We saved about $3 at a fast food place, but it wasn’t due to anything we intentionally did. After my husband ordered, I looked at the receipt and they’d given us a Senior discount!!! Haha! That was a first! He’s only 42, and I’m 37!

I’ve been purchasing some shirts for myself from Goodwill. In trying to keep with the “one in one out rule”, some old ones are going to be donated, and one got cut into rags for cleaning.

Tonight’s meal is greens, beans and cornbread. This humble meal is surprisingly satisfying! The collard greens were on clearance, making this even cheaper!
