Frugal Five

My husband needed to run to “the big city”, so we all went. I took advantage of being by an Aldi and did some grocery shopping. I’ve found their prices to be quite a bit lower than our local store.

We also stopped in the big Goodwill there. Each member of our family purchased something, in fact after I checked out, I noticed that all the cash registers were full of my family! haha The purchase I’m most excited about was a glass pyrex bow with a lid.

Doing our part to support Goodwill!

I’ve been using green onion and basil from my pots. The green onion were regrown from store bought ones, and the basil is a combination of some given to us and some I grew from seeds. Even though it’s getting colder, I can still keep gardening on my kitchen windowsill!

I gave my mother-in-law a bunch of spools of thread. Now that she lives close to us, we’re more likely to ask her to mend something for us, so I figure she’ll make better use of them than me. I just kept some basic colors for small repairs here.

Found some pennies on our last walk. I can’t remember how many, I think 5.

How have you saved, or found, a little money recently?
