I love Christmas cards…well I love receiving physical, hand written cards anytime, but Christmas is when we get the most. And now that we’re back in the US we actually receive them.
A few cards have started trickling in, but then today, I got a card that completely surprised me. It was from a couple we met when working in West Africa, in fact the wife was the one who sent me some helpful advice I mentioned in this post.
Not only did it surprise me to get the card, but the sweet note made me tear up as I read the sweet words of those who understand the feelings of having moved back to the States.
This unexpected mail made my day.
