December Book Stack

I believe every book we as believers read, must be compared to the truths of Scripture. Any book I recommend does not necessarily mean I agree with 100% of itAll reading we do, should be done with the Bible truths in the forefront of our minds.

I completed 2 book this last month.

Wonder in the Waiting – An Advent Devotional

By Angela Burtis

My mom, sister, and sister-in-laws all read this during the Christmas season. Even though we live spread between 2 countries and 3 states, all reading the same thing makes us feel a little closer. 🙂

What Does God Want?

By Michael S. Heiser

A couple months ago I read another book by the same author, I Dare You Not to Bore Me with the Bible. I highly recommend this book! Heiser was a scholar, but this book he wrote in simple layman’s terms. It gives a good overall summary of the Bible, and clearly shows what God wants from us. While there is some things that I feel he might be reading a little into the text, I love that he has references, so you can look things up yourself.

This is a great book if you’re curious about the Bible, a new believer, or even an old believer!
