I checked out a book from the library called Devoted to Writing. It contains little devotions or insights and a prompt after it. Today’s prompt was about a favorite teacher. I tweaked it and put 4 teachers I admired from my freshman and sophomore year while I attended a private school.
“List the qualities you remember about one of your favorite teachers.”
Mrs. M (Math)
- Consistent
- Reliable
Mrs. R (English)
- Made writing and reading seem fun
- Down to earth
Mr. R (History, he actually is Mrs. R’s husband)
- Big picture guy (which I prefer in history)
- Seemed to care about the students
Mr. K (I think I had him for multiple subjects, Bible and science maybe)
- Cared about the kids’ personal lives
- Humble
