A Practical Walk

Devoted to Writing Prompt #1

“Make a list of things you have done that you didn’t think you would ever do.”

Hmm…yesterday’s prompt just jumped right into my head, this one’s harder. Some things come to mind as things I didn’t necessarily expect, but they weren’t that surprising, like living in Africa or adopting. I didn’t expect to move back to the States after just 9 years, but it really isn’t uncommon.

I guess what I’m saying is that there’s been plenty of things I maybe didn’t anticipate, but I can’t think of things that I thought, “Surely I’ll never do….” Then did it. I think I learned pretty early on that you never know what to expect in life. Either that or I just haven’t done all the things I thought I’d never do yet, maybe they’re all just waiting around the corner!
