Do you have things that instantly boost your mood? Today I’ll share 3 things that almost always lift my spirits a little.
Decluttering some stuff. Really, any cleaning or tidying up usually boosts my mood, but tossing stuff in the trash or gathering up a bag to donate to Goodwill is the best! I think it makes me feel like things will get better because by getting rid of this stuff I’m preventing future mess and I’ll never have to deal with those particular items ever again! Just today I went through some drawers and ended up with a bag of various papers to toss and it felt so good!

Going on a run or walk. I almost never end a run in a worse mood than I started, quite the opposite in fact. It doesn’t make problems go away, it just makes me feel a little bit less overwhelmed by them. This artist displays it well:

Having some time by myself. I love being with people, and sometimes being with people lifts my mood, but on the flip side, I do love me some alone time. Time to blog, time to go on a walk, time to just putter around the house doing my own thing on my own schedule.
