Biggest frugal action this week was our garage sale! We’d been wanting to do it for a long time, but finally got around to it…the weekend the temps dropped and the winds picked up! But we still sold about half of what we had out there. Also…I just love the community feel when you have garage sales and getting to meet people.

I put a “free” sticker on Nacho…but he didn’t find it humorous and took it off.
When we had an appointment in another town, I made sure to combine errands: dropped off items at Goodwill, my daughter bought some things there too, I shopped at Walmart, got gas at Walmart, and went to the discount food store. It was a busy morning, but we got a lot done!
We’re continuing to work in the garden. My husband put some drip hose in that’s making watering easier. We have a combination of store-bought drip hose, and homemade drip hose (hose with holes punched in, and the pool noodles help it to not spray everywhere, but drip down on the plants).

I keep saying I need to do a “Frugal Yard” post, but we keep adding to the yard, and so my list of what I need to write about just keeps growing!
This week my husband purchased 600 bricks from someone off FB marketplace to make a patio around our fire pit. Speakig of the firepit…that was one of the best things we’ve done in our yard! We’ve only had it for about a month, but have enjoyed mulitple fires, some just as a family and one making smores for my son’s birthday. This week we’ll be roasting hotdogs with some of our kids’ friends. And all it is, is some cement blocks stacked up!

And for my final frugal thing…all the wood we’ve been burning in our fire was free. Some came from our own trees even! We’re clearing the giant stick pile, while getting to enjoy the flames!
What have you done this week that saved a buck or two?
