I believe every book we as believers read, must be compared to the truths of Scripture. Any book I recommend does not necessarily mean I agree with 100% of it. All reading we do, should be done with the Bible truths in the forefront of our minds.
I finished one book, and am almost done with another one…it’s a good one, but you’re gonna have to wait for next month to know what it is!
Now and Not Yet – Discovering Six Ways God is More Faithful Than You Know
By Ruth Chou Simons
I think there’s two books by her with this title, but I just read the study guide version. It was for a ladies’ Bible study. I had read a book by this same author before and recalled enjoying it.
Overall I liked it. My favorite part was how each week we focused on a particular person in the Bible and we’d read their story.
I realized this time back in the US, I’ve done more ladies’ Bible study curriculums than ever in my life! In Africa, when I’d attend Bible studies it was rarely with a curriculum, let alone one made just for women. The amount of resources in English is astounding. Of course not all resources are good ones, but still, there’s just so much literature, videos, sermons…we really are blessed!
I can’t wait for next month to tell you about the other book I’m reading!

What’ve you read lately?
