This Easter I wore the same dress I wore last Easter.

Last year

And this year…what’d ya know! Not only is it the same dress, but same necklace, earrings and shoes! But it was chilly, so I wore a sweater.
Which leads me to another frugal thing. When I put the sweater on, I noticed a hole in the armpit, so I stitched that up.
I’m saving money by not replacing or re-upholstering our couch yet. We love this thrifted couch. It’s a perfect size for our living room, but the fabric is getting grungy and wearing holes. So I’m trying filling it with blankets and pillows. I feel like this gives it a boho look. Now I have a colorful Mexican blanket, an afghan crocheted by my great grandma, and 4 pillows. The 2 white pillows and the yellow one, I recently purchased at Goodwill for under $10 total. I took the cases off the white ones and washed them along with the little yellow pillow. This yellow one is replacing another yellow one, but it matches the curtain color better than the previous one.

We’ll see after a while if all these blankets and pillows start getting in our way and annoying us or if my let me go boho for the sake of covering the worn couch upholstery trick works.

We purchased some plants from a couple on facebook. I know a pack of seeds is cheaper, but hey, they had some nice plants that I haven’t started. I think it was $4 a plant. Not sure how that compares to the store, but I liked buying from individuals better anyways.
In other garden frugalness, someone gave us a bucket, so now I have a bissap (Roselle Hibiscus) plant growing in it.
What frugalness have you been up to?
