Fighting the Grumbles

I was feeling grumpy this morning. Was it because I got a couple less hours of sleep? Was it that frustrating math problem I had to help with? Why am I grumpy? Truth be told I’m not sure, but I’m teetering on the edge of feeling sorry for myself, so I’ll fight against it with thanks:

  1. The health of my family. We’ve had some health issues lately, but none are life-threatening. In conjuntion with that I’m thankful for doctors and modern medicine.
  2. Our house. I still can’t believe we own our little home mortage-free. I’m so thankful for the blessing it is.
  3. Family Bible reading and prayer. This is something we started last year and it’s been so good! In the evenings we read some Bible verses (going through John right now), discuss it, then pray together.
  4. Coffee.
  5. Good food.
  6. For the firm foundation of knowing Christ. While I have many things I worry about, I no longer worry about if God is real, or if He’s forgiven me like I used to years ago.
  7. For my family, I love each member.
  8. For the privilege of being a stay at home mom, at least for now.
  9. For friends, while they may be far away, I’m still thankful for them!
  10. For good homeschool curriculum that makes my job easier and helps my kids learn better.

And Nacho…I’m thankful for him too!

What are you thankful for today?
