My Lil’ Part Time Job

Remember how I said that during this phase of life my job is stretching our dollars, rather than bringing dollars in? That’s still true, but now I’ve opened an ebay shop as well! Will it be smashingly successful? I don’t know. But I’m trying it. There’s not a lot listed yet, and it’s rather eclectic. Some items are simply things from around the house. You know the mantra, “Clutter out, cash in!”

Other items are ones I (or my husband) have picked up with the intent of reselling. Thankfully I have a mother-in-law with a very successful ebay business and she’s willingly giving me lots of tips and answering my myriad of questions.

If you love shopping ebay you can check out my store, Dandelion Deals. I have several vintage items up, and more coming. I commissioned my daughter to do my store’s picture, and I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Here’s a picture of a cactus that bloomed in our front yard. It has nothing to do with Dandelion Deals, other than the fact that I apparently adore flowers!

Do you shop ebay? What was your best ebay score ever?

Mine was probably my bright orange Nike running shoes.

  1. Would you believe I’ve never ordered anything off eBay! Honestly, it scares me. Not sure why?! I thrift basically all my clothes, but I only go to brick-and-mortar thrift shops for that. I bet I’m missing a lot of great finds…

All the best with your next venture.

    1. Most of my clothes are brick-and-mortar thrift shops too. I like to be able to see and touch them (and when the place has dressing rooms try them on).
The shoes, I actually went to a sports store and tried on brand-new shoes, when I found one I liked the fit of, I ordered it off ebay, where it was much cheaper.

  2. Good luck with the eBay venture. The place either overwhelms me or intimidates me. Either way, I’ve never actually bought anything there. Oh, and by the way, I love the name.
