A Practical Walk

This has been a busy week, and next week looks to be busy again. Lots going on, and lots on my mind, so why not make a quick thankful post? Being thankful has never done anything but help, so here we go:

• That I like sanding floors, at least when I have a nice orbital sander to do it with. We’re sanding down a pine floor to refinish, and with all the sanding I’ve been doing the last couple of days, I’m thankful that I actually do enjoy it.
• For the health and energy to be able to do this physical work. I know someday it’ll be harder to do this kind of thing, but I’m glad I can right now.
• For the flexibility of selling on ebay. I love that I can work extra on it when I have time, and stop listing things when I don’t. And if I don’t even have time to ship things, I can even put it on vacation mode.
• For thinking time. I feel better when I have time to think and process….good news about sanding, gives you lots of free brain time!
• For a very comfy bed, nice pillows, sheets, air purifier that also blocks sounds, and air conditioner with free night electricity. All of that makes sleeping so nice!
• Speaking of sleeping, my sleep is getting better.
• Blogging, I love reading other blogs and writing on one.
• My plants! You guys!! I don’t know why seeing food grow is so amazing, but I love it! We’ve eaten 2 zucchini squashes and 3 cucumbers.
• This beautiful flower that bloomed.

• Bruno…he’s such a happy dog!
• Nacho…he’s happy too, although he shows it differently than Bruno!
• My husband, I could say so much about him, but I’ll just say, that I’m very thankful for him.
• My grandpa’s safety today when he fell off a ladder. It could’ve been much worse.
• Pinterest
• Cold coffee
• Running vehicles.
• My husband’s job, this business seems to be really working out, and I’m so glad.
• Our house.
• Friends who send me messages.
• A kind act one of my kids did today that really touched me.
• Laughter and humor.
• When God spared our son’s life several years ago. He had meningitis and was hospitalized for 8 days.
• For Goodwill shopping. 🙂
• For ladies’ Bible study starting back up. And so far I love the book we’re doing.
• For the kids both getting more and more driving hours under their belts.
• A very kind lady, who saw through a blog comment that my daughter was collecting Mary Higgins Clark books and sent a box of them! She was delighted!
