Frugal Five – Bunny Art

I owed $8 of fees at the library, but they told me that anyone who brings in a picture of a bunny can get up to $10 off their fees. So my daughter drew a cute bunny picture and took it to the library. So yeah, this college art class is really paying off!

I made a quick trip to the local grocery store to pick up some things, in particular some items from their weekend sale, like butter for $1.99 and a 5 lb. bag of potatoes for $1.29.

When I went to go pay for my son’s Taekwondo test coming up, I realized that the cost of testing is exactly how much someone Venmoed me for some windows we sold at our garage sale! So I just used that money sitting in my Venmo account to pay for it. Windows we didn’t need transferred into covering his test cost, very nice! On top of that the windows are out of our way, and she was very excited about them, saying they had just purchased a house and were going to replace the windows. This is a perfect example of clutter out, cash in!

We had a wonderful rain followed by a cloudy day. This means I will not be paying for city water to water my garden today.

My very eclectic garden arrangement!

Do you spy Nacho?

I saved roughly $30 by purchasing my son’s language arts curriculum for next year on ebay, as compared to the price on the curriculum’s own website. I could’ve saved even more by buying a set that had some writing in it, but I decided to pay a little more and get the “like new” set.

How have you saved money recently?
