I made garlic herb butter, and the herbs all came from my garden! I honestly don’t usually cook much with fresh herbs, other than cilantro and green onions. So I think having a supply of fresh herbs right outside my back door will encourage me to use them more.

Mint, basil, green onions and oregano, all but the mint went into the garlic butter.
It rained, so I didn’t have to water the garden Sunday evening…however with the rain came hail, biggest I’ve ever seen personally. My husband ran out and covered a lot of the plants, but many are pretty battered. Remember the hail we got last year? Then after the hail, we got a freeze?

My husband calculated that the cost of building our new shed was the same as 2 years of storage unit rent. It’s mostly for housing supplies and tools for his job. Well as of this morning I finally called and let them know we were completely out of the storage unit! Took longer than we planned, but now there’s no storage bill!
I pulled 3 onions from the garden today! One got thinly sliced for some wraps we had for supper. I’ve been wondering how other gardeners keep track of their harvest. I’m intrigued by the idea of knowing just how much food we brought in, but not sure the best way to keep track. Any advice???
