I had to got to the post office, then I thought, “Hey the library’s just right around the corner, why don’t I stop in?” So I did just that and came out with 2 DVDs a few books and a packet of dill seeds. Our little library has a seed catalogue where you can leave and take seeds. Since I’m using fresh herbs so much more now, maybe I should grow some dill!
My husband was going to the big town to pick up a tile order, so I rode along with him. We were able to accomplish a lot on this tile trip! Our first stop was Restore, where we purchased multiple items, including a wheelbarrow and some large pots. My husband had coupons making our whole bill 50% off! Next we went to Home Depot, and I went to Aldi….prices sure are better there, but it’s far enough away I don’t ever make a trip just for Aldi. We also hit up a favorite Goodwill. I got a couple dresses, my husband got a shirt, and we purchased 1 item for resale. I used a donation coupon for 20% off one of the items. We stopped for drinks…okay that wasn’t frugal, but we’d finished all the water I’d brought. So it was also kinda like a date! We had lots of time to chat about things on the drive.

My husband brought home some Wandering Jew cuttings from a lady. She had given us some last year, but it didn’t make it. Getting free plant cuttings is such a money saver.

The zucchini and yellow squashes are producing quickly now! I can’t believe how fast they grow!
And for my last frugal item….going along with gardening. I got some thyme and rosemary cuttings from my mother-in-law’s house.
Any of you gardeners? Do you have any produce coming in yet?
