We had a lovely trip to New Mexico that I can’t wait to tell you all about, but it’s a long post, so for now here’s a quick frugal post.
My daughter’s college had a welcome day for students and their families. So we went and got our free food truck lunch and drink!

My daughter and I choose pizza.

My husband picked a Mexican plate.
And not pictured was my son’s burger and fries.
On top of that, there were booths and one of them had a couple guessing games. One was to guess 18 inches on the table without a ruler, my husband succeeded (I mean it makes sense, he’s always measuring things!) and won $20! So free food, plus a 20-dollar bill!
I wanted a vertical letter holder thing to corral papers on my desk. I rummaged around my house to see if there was something that would do, even if it was just until I could find a better option at Goodwill. And in my kitchen way up on the top shelf I saw the popsicle mold that rarely gets used.

Ain’t gonna win no decor awards, but at least my papers are taking up less horizontal space.
Yesterday I wore a new outfit….that was free! My daughter was getting rid of a J. Crew top. I was thinking I might list it on ebay, but then decided to try it on…and am keeping it! And my mother-in-law had a pair of capris that weren’t selling on her ebay store, so I got those too!

My new outfit and my dirty mirror!
