Life is such a mixture of happy, easy to be pleased about things, and those hard, disappointing, and questioning our decisions type of things. I know I’ll never be able to avoid those difficulties during my life, but I can make a conscience effort to not let them cloud my vision to the point of being blind to the blessings. So here I go with another thankful post!
My new job! Y’all, I’m so excited about this! I’ve been sending in applications to jobs and the one that hired me I think is going to be a great fit! I’ll spare you all he boring details of how it worked out, just know it involved me saying no to another job that while it looked good, I think could’ve ended up very challenging. And then I was about be placed with a client that I’d have to travel a little ways to see, but instead they swapped it for a lady right here local! But I’m getting ahead of myself, I haven’t even told you what I’m doing! I’m hired by a company as a personal care attendant…..basically a fancy title for maid! I go to a senior lady’s house and clean, wash dishes, and do her laundry. If she wants I can also shop and cook for her. Due to still having one kid homeschooling, I’m just working part-time right now. I’m two days in and it’s going great! I love that I got a job with a person (not working with people was my least favorite part of ebay reselling, although I am still doing that too). So my new job is a very big, giant praise!

I found a nice pair of scrub pants at Goodwill for wearing to work. Also you’re probably thinking, “She cleans this client’s house, she outta clean her own mirror!” To which I say, “You’re right!”
My health. It’s easy to take my health for granted, but I’m able to work. I can go outdoors and enjoy the nice, fall sunshine. I can eat any food (no allergies). I get to be a part of people’s lives. I know my body will slowly weaken and not work so well, so I want to enjoy it while I can! And even if I am a little scatter-brained, I’ve still got a soundish mind!
The cooler weather. I like it when it’s cool enough that the warm sun feels good on my face.
Our house. I really do love our little house. And we keep making little improvements. This weekend the boys poured a concrete slab by the back door.
Good sleep. My sleeps been pretty slumber-ful lately, which is lovely!
What are you thankful for today?
