Even though my new job doesn’t have a required uniform, I still want to have some dedicated work clothes. At Goodwill I found a pair of jogger scrubs in my size and they were the color of the week, so I only paid $3 for them!

After my last post, with this same picture I went ahead and cleaned my mirror…blogging can be so movtivational!
Guys….I started digging up my sweet potatoes and it was so fun! I felt like a little kid who found a buried pirate treasure on the beach! The total? 65 pounds!!!! And these all came from sweet potato slips that sprouted at our house…some were from an old sweet potato I had tossed in the compost, and it sprouted, so we planted slips from it! They were cheap to grow (mostly just the water and soil), easy (drip line irrigation), and produced plenty! Need to do again next year!

Popcorn is one of my very favorite snacks, so when the store had it on clearance I bought 24 pounds. That may seem like a lot….but I left a lot on the shelves!

We had a nice family fun afternoon/evening on Sunday. Since our schedules are all varied, these times are fewer and farther between. We went to Dairy Queen for ice-cream (not frugal), swung by Goodwill where I got the scrubs and some replacement blankets for Bruno (frugal), then we came home and watched a movie and ate…you guessed it…popcorn (frugal)!
How have you saved a few bucks lately?
