I logged into my bank account today and guess what I saw? My first deposited pay check! Woo-hoo! I only worked a couple hours on that first pay period, so it wasn’t much, but still a delight to see!
I know I’m only on my second week, but being a personal care attendant feels like a dream fit for me in this phase of life!
- My client is less than 5 minutes from my house.
- The hours have been low enough that I’ve been able to continue most of my other chores and obligations.
- My client is lovely to work with! She’s funny, laid-back, appreciative and over-all super sweet!
- I like the physical work aspect of it. So far I’ve mostly been cleaning and doing laundry. Might not seem glamourous, but I’ve got experience keeping my own house and really don’t mind that kind of work.
- And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that I’m with someone! I realize if a client isn’t as easy to get along with as my current one, this might not be such a highlight, but right now I love it!
When I think about the fact that out of all the jobs I applied to, I landed on this one, I’m just so grateful!
