November Gratitude Day 7

Today I’m thankful for today.

This has been a full week! I worked 14ish hours at my new job, helped paint a house, and drove to another town for a couple of errands. Plus the normal things like cooking, homeschooling, etc… It doesn’t sound like much when I type it up, but it felt like a lot. Plus my son was sick all week with a nasty cold. I was so tired by last night…but guys, today has been an amazing day!!

I still set my alarm, because I needed to pack lunches, but I didn’t have to set it as early as weekdays. Then I drank coffee while chatting with my husband. After that I sent the boys off with their lunches, as they’ll be working all day today and my daughter headed out to pick out glasses. So I’m home alone.

I’m trying to get lots done while I’m here solo in the quiet house with the cold, drizzly rain softly watering our yard. I love days home alone where I mix getting work done and doing relaxing things (like blogging).

So I’ve been cooking (with my new work schedule I think my week days will go much smoother if I have food prepped ahead), doing laundry, dishes, and so forth.

Not only did I need this kind of day to catch up on household chores, but it’s been good for my sanity as well. 🙂

Look at these cute pumpkin cards my daughter made!

What are you thankful for today?

Do you enjoy days at home alone?

  1. I love those sweet cards! I almost always enjoy my days at home alone. Sometimes I feel lonely, so I make myself get out and do things, shop, see a movie…I am very thankful right now for a potential new family member (:
