I Am…

What I’m listening to…

Afro-Carribbean Zouk louange (“louange” means praise in French). I’ve discovered it has good rhythm that keeps me upbeat, but yet smooth enough that it’s relaxing. I’ve been enjoying listening to it while I cook and clean.

What I’m watching…

Boiling Point This was a great film with a simple, but moving plot. It was all shot at once, like a play. I do have two warnings about the language though. 1. There’s heavy swearing…you’ve been warned. 2. There’s heavy accents, even though everyone speaks English, it’s got various accents going on and sometimes it was hard to understand certain people.

The 13th Warrior This was extremely gory, but the part of the film that I loved was seeing a man in an environment not his own, learning the language and seeing differences in worldview. Having lived much of my life as a foreigner, I found this aspect intriguing.

What I’m reading….

Well…my April Book Stack has been posted and you can read about the two books I finished recently. But I’m also reading through the book of Joshua in the Bible right now.

What I’m eating….

Well, I’m eating all kinds of things, but I’m trying to eat more fruits when I get a hankering for something sweet. I bought a thing of strawberries and they were SO GOOD! I also had a really good cantaloupe the other day. And I’ve been enjoying pears.

What are you listening to, watching, reading and eating?
