Thankful Post

I have so much to be thankful for!

First of all, we had a wonderful time camping with family! While my review of the campgrounds is here, my review of our time together could be summed up with: relaxing, enjoyable, and good catching up. It’s funny how even though we have a family group chat, there’s things that just don’t come up unless you’re casually sitting around chatting, and I love those kinds of conversations!

I’ve had migraines for years now and always handled them with over the counter medication, but they were getting more frequent, longer lasting, and not responding as well to the regular pain reliever. My doctor….which that’s a while nother story I need to share sometime, gave me a prescription to use when I feel one coming on. You guys….I can’t beleive how good it works! I’ve used it twice so far, and even though I feel a little fatigued with it, the pain goes away so quickly! The other stuff I took helped dull the pain, but not take it away like this! It was so effective, that just a few hours after feeling the headache coming on, I felt good enough to go to Bible study! I’m so thankful!

I’ve mentioned how my daughter had a job that turned down right miserable, with things being allowed that shouldn’t have been. She, and we her parents, thought it was best to leave. It wasn’t worth the stress. And now I’m happy to say she has another job! It’s very part time, but the atmosphere has been a bazillion times better so far! She photographs clothes for a small shop.

I’m thankful for all 4 of our cars. Long story short, the van is out of commission waiting for a replacement part to arrive and the little car is being loaned to someone. But I’m glad we have the lil’ ol’ pick up for around town and my husband’s work truck. I’m also glad we got home safe and on time….we had some issues with the van on our camping trip, but made it back to where my husband has space and tools to work on it.

Which brings me to another thing I’m grateful for. I’m glad my husband can do car maintenance and many repairs.

Even though most of my ebay sales just make me a little bit of profit, this week I sold a vintage Sears Merry Mushroom set for $149.90. After ebay fees, my cost in purchasing it, taxes, and promotion fee my profit stood at $88.16! I’m happy with that!

What are you thankful for today?

  1. Congrats on the eBay sale! I’m sure someone is very happy (and maybe nostalgic) about their new-to-them set.

And Praise the Lord for medicine that works. Migraines are so debilitating, and finding medication that works is SUCH a blessing.
